Charles founded the firm in 1992. He is among the leading specialists in crisis communications in the Netherlands, and has extensive experience in financial and M&A communications. His clients include LibertyGlobal, VodafoneZiggo, Intertrust and Chemours.
Charles is a former political journalist. He was a correspondent in The Hague for De Telegraaf, the largest Dutch national newspaper and later a political reporter for Dutch national TV news, the NOS Journaal. Charles has written several books on communications and PR.
Clemens offers extensive corporate communications experience and expertise, handling issues from reorganisations to change management. During his years as an employee of Huijskens Communications he specialised in financial communication. Companies across a wide range of industries dealing with M&As, activist shareholder campaigns or bankruptcies are the type of clients he advises.
Clemens has completed an Executive Master Corporate Communications in Rotterdam. In that context, he did research on the communication of activist shareholders at listed companies. He is active as a board member of the political party CDA in Amsterdam, where he is responsible for Press and Communications. Clemens is also a member of the national campaign team for that party.
Harmen Geers has 14 years of experience with corporate communications at the cutting edge. In many transactions, legal cases and crises, he has supported the main actors and taken care of the communication to stakeholders and the public – in the Netherlands and abroad. Furthermore, he has helped companies and organisations to show their right image to the outside world.
As Head of Media Relations at APG, one of the world’s largest investment organisations, Harmen was responsible for worldwide corporate communications until 2018. Previously, from 2004 to 2010, he worked as an advisor at Huijskens Communications. Harmen is co-founder of O3NL, the successful mentoring program for entrepreneurs that is linked to the Venture Mentoring Service at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

Arthur advises companies on reputation management, crisis communications and financial communications. Current clients include Nikon and Chemours.
Arthur joined Huijskens Communications in April 2017. Previously, he did an internship at Huijskens Communications and he gained further experience at Burson-Marsteller in The Hague. He studied European studies at the University of Amsterdam (BA) and European Union Studies at Leiden University (MA).

Quirine van Hasselt joined HuijskensBickerton in May 2017. She currently advises clients such as Nikon and Chemours. Before her job at Huijskens Communications, she completed a 6 months internship at the corporate communication department of Heineken Netherlands. Previously, she completed her Bachelor’s degree in Communication Science and her Master’s degree in Corporate Communication in Amsterdam. Throughout her studies and the internship, Quirine gained relevant knowledge about corporate communication, crisis communication and reputation management. Her knowledge is of added value to our team.

Nikki Blom studied Communication Science at the University of Amsterdam, with a specialization in corporate communication. Nikki has a special interest in crisis communication and wrote her thesis about it, entitled ‘Do not panic, it is just a crisis’. After her studies, Nikki has worked for several years in real estate. Nikki joined the team of Huijskens Communications in October 2018. Through her work experience, Nikki possesses specialist knowledge that is particularly relevant for companies active in real estate.
